Acosta Wins Silver Ball In Brazil

Náutico striker Alberto Acosta won the award after sports daily Placar gave out their annual awards earlier on Monday in Rio de Janeiro. The Uruguayan scored 19 goals in 38 matches and helped the team end up in 15th place and survive relegation. He was also part of the Brazileirao Starting XI.
Acosta is one of the hottest items on the domestic transfer market as teams like São Paulo, Fluminenese, and the recently relegated Corinthians who look for the player’s services.
