Big Game For Danubio Against Full-Strength Pincha
This Group 2 match will put the winner back into the race for a spot in the knockout stage. After losing in their respective group openers, both Danubio and Estudiantes did not help their causes after home draws against Deportivo Cuenca and Lanús respectively. A draw would be more beneficial to the Argentines as they have two more home games against Danubio and Cuenca, while the opposite is true for their neighbors across the River Plate.
For Danubio this is a must-win game if they want to have a shot at the knockout stage. Their performance in the group stage has left much to be desired.
Néstor Sensini’s men in the meantime are poised and well rested for this match. The former Argentine international used an alternative lineup consisting of mostly reserve players as well as second stingers this past weekend in Estudiantes’ loss to San Lorenzo this past weekend.
