Former Colombian international Jairo Castillo is in Montevideo undergoing physicals and is expected to join reigning champs Defensor Sporting. Castillo, 30, was playing for AEL Limassol in the Cypriot League just this past season prior to making his move to Parque Rodó. The journeyman forward signed a six-month contract with Los Violetas and looks to replace Carlos María Morales who moved to Danubio during the off-season.
