Cavani Scores In Palermo Win
Edinson Cavani was one of the stars in Palermo’s 2-1 win over cellar dweller Cagliari. His goal in the 23rd minute opened the scoring after a series of bounces close to the goalmouth ended up in him slamming the ball into the back of the net. Cavani was so attached to scoring in that goal that he did it once again. Unfortunately, the teams switched sides by then. Regardless of the matter Palermo still comes out on top.
This win helps the Sicilians stay within reach of European Cup spots. They are now five points from seventh place Udinese. The road does not get any easier as they will have to face AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza next weekend.
