Colombia Probables

September 5th, 2008 | By: Juan | 1 Comment »

The Colombians look to have set up a 4-4-2 with two of the more successful forwards for both Necaxa and River Plate. Hugo Rodallega and Radamel Falcao García are the two big threats up front for the Cafeteros.

Junior´s Giovanny Hernández might be on his last legs with the national as his enormous talent would never emerge at the international level. He will be behind both Falcao and Rodallega while he will now have Fabián Vargas backing him up. The Boca Juniors midfielder is currently going through his best moment as a professional as he was a more than worthy replacement for Juan Román Riquelme while the latter was in Beijing.

Fredy Guarín and José Amaya suffered slight muscle strains and that will leave them out of Saturday’s match against Uruguay. Valenciennes’ Carlos Alberto Sánchez will come in and offer a more physical matchup to any attacker that Uruguay will place on the right.

Colombia: Agustín Julio, Camilo Zúñiga, Aquivaldo Mosquera, Luis Amaranto Perea, Estiven Vélez, Carlos Alberto Sánchez, Freddy Guarín, Fabián Vargas, Giovanny Hernández, Hugo Rodallega, Radamel Falcao García.

Hi! It’s not related to this post, but i was wondering if you have heard anything new on Carlos Diogo’s recovery?

Thanks!
