Da Silva Insulted By Cali Move- Somewhat
Former Uruguayan international and current Defensor Sporting coach Paulo Da Silva felt insulted by the fact that Deportivo Cali requested his resume as a coach. “I was not please with it. My body of work is well known all over. It’s important to talk to the coach, but the club has all of my respect,” said Da Silva.
According to sources, the club plans to sign the coach in the next few days. Both parties are aware of the coach’s contractual status making his hiring that much easier. In the past few weeks on route to winning the club’s title, Da Silva became a hot commodity for teams like River Plate, Olimpia, and Emelec wanted to obtain his services.
With the hiring eminent, Da Silva returns to his stomping ground of the early 90’s where he played for Cali’s archrival-América.
