Sánchez Makes Debut with Schalke
Though brief, Schalke’s newest signing- Vicente Sánchez showed the team’s faithful what he can offer. He came in for Gerald Asamoah in the 85th minute as they easily handled defending champs Stuttgart 4-1. Sánchez came in an immediately showed his magic as he assisted former Botafogo star Ze Roberto who was making his debut as well in the 91st minute.
Kevin Kuranyi’s brace and Michael Westermann’s header did the reigning champs in.
The win puts Schalke in fifth place with 32 points and with a great deal of momentum as they look to be a serious player for the Bundesliga title in the second half of the season.
