This Uruguayan performance was an absolute disgrace to football. To celebrate a win brought on by the lowest form of outright cheating is absolutely horrible and unheard of at this stage of competition. If it was up to me, Luis Suarez would be banned for life. Absolutely disgraceful.

Cry me a river. Suarez was rightly punished for his actions. So enough of this 'he cheated' idiocy. Go cry to Gyan for missing the Pk instead.

¡Felicidades, amigos uruguayos!

I'm sorry but blaming Suarez for Ghana's elimination is idiotic. I bet you that 99% of footballers would have done exactly the same as him in that situation. Plus, like Esteban says, he was punished and will miss the next game, AND Gyan shouldn't have missed. Props to him for stepping up and scoring in the shootout, though. Respect.

URUGUAY IS GOING TO GET KNOCKED OUT BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO PLAY WITHOUT LUIS SUAREZ FOR THE NETHERLANDS GAME!!!!!!!!

Pardom me Alan, but in football, which you obviously must not watch much, the ones that do something illegal get punished, which he did. THEN, it was Ghana that screwed up! Go rewatch it bud, noone cheated them out of that goal, HE missed it. There are rules, you have a handball in the box, its red, you are out. Nothing more and nothing less. If you don't like it, don't watch soccer

Oh and just for kicks, any team that wouldn't be willing to do that isn't willing to risk his own name for his team and nation and shouldn't be on a national team. You play it all on the field and you leave it all there. Missing penalties at this level in such cases gets you losses.

    the devil hands from suarez…
    hero from the hell…

Yes it was all within the rules but it was a sad moment. Just think of Michael Jordan's famous layaway shot being goal tended before it sunk on its own, and then MJ having to go to the line to finish it. Whether he would go on to win or lose it would have taken away a purely magical moment from basketball. In the same manner this took away a purely magical moment for Soccer (Africa beating the odds to go further than any other African team).

Banned for life? Ja, he would have been banned from Uruguay for life if he hadn't stopped that ball. You cannot imagine what football means to us (yep, I'm Uruguayan). As to the disgrace, maybe you just didn't see the dive that originated the free kick, which resulted in Suarez's save. I was not a fault, the guy from Ghana “cheated” by feaking it!!! Never mind the offside, there should have never been a free kick to sart with. Oh, and if you like to talk about disgrace and cheating we could also discuss the penalty kick that the referee missed to “see”, and a very clear one to say the least.
Spear me the indignation and start watching golf, or something like it, because if you don't understand what Luis did then football is not the sport for you.
